The Real Estate Cadastre manages information about real estate in the Czech Republic. For example, it contains data on the location and size of real estate, the type of real estate or ownership and other property rights. The Land Registry can be consulted online via the Internet using the application “Consult the Land Registry”.
Access to the Land Registry
The Land Registry records land in the form of plots, buildings, flats, non-residential premises, dismantled buildings, flats and non-residential premises. Information on legal relations and rights in rem to immovable property is also very important. For example, in the case of mortgage-financed real estate, the bank’s lien is registered in the cadastre. For example, the easement of survival is also listed.
Extract from the Land Registry
The Land Registry can be accessed via the Internet free of charge. However, an extract from the cadastre is subject to a fee and can be obtained at the cadastral office or at a Czech POINT contact point. It is also possible to send a written request to the cadastral office, but you must allow 30 days for the processing of the request.
