BRKI stands for the Banking Register of Customer Information, which is managed by the Czech Banking Credit Bureau (CBCB). It is a secure database where banks share information about their clients’ loans. Credit providers can thus monitor whether an applicant currently has a loan, whether he/she is paying it back properly, what loans he/she has had in the past, or whether he/she is currently applying for one.

What loans are recorded in BRKI?
The BRKI Bank Register records personal identification data of natural persons as well as data that indicate whether or not a contract has been concluded between the bank and the applicant.
Similarly, the bank will find information about the applicant’s creditworthiness and payment record, which is useful when it starts to assess the creditworthiness of the applicant. What kind of loans do banks and reputable non-banking companies record here?
- Mortgage loan
- Building Savings Loan
- Consumer credit
- Leasing
- Overdraft
- Credit card
