The bank code is a four-digit number used to uniquely identify the bank. Each Czech bank, savings bank and credit union has its own unique code, usually separated from the customer’s account number by a slash.
What is the bank code for?
The bank code is assigned to payment service providers by the Czech National Bank and is used to identify the provider only for payment transactions within the Czech Republic. SWIFT/BIC codes are used for foreign payments.
